Product Description
A belt dryer is a continuous drying system that transports wet materials on a perforated or mesh belt through controlled drying zones. Hot air (or flue gas / process gas) flows through or over the product to evaporate moisture efficiently.
Continuous and stable drying
Gentle treatment for temperature-sensitive materials
Suitable for large particle sizes and uneven materials
Flexible design: single-belt, multi-belt, or multi-stage layouts
Biomass: wood chips, bark, sawdust, energy chips
Sludge: municipal, industrial, dewatered sludge
Food & Feed: cereals, vegetables, pet food, minerals
Chemical and industrial bulk materials
Infeed hopper with leveling system
Uniform distribution across belt width
Optional spreading device for difficult materials
Perforated steel belt or wire mesh belt
Anti-static or high-strength options
Adjustable belt tensioning and tracking
Single-layer or multi-layer belt configurations
Different kind of mesh belt

Insulated steel housing
Modular sections for easy installation
Separate access doors for maintenance
Stainless-steel internal parts available for hygiene-sensitive products
Multiple zones with independent control
Adjustable temperature, humidity, and air velocity
Long residence time for high moisture materials
Gentle low-temperature drying for quality preservation
Differenet Kinds of Belt Dryer Layout

Available heat sources:
Hot water
Steam
Thermal oil
Flue gas
Direct or indirect gas burners
High-efficiency fans and heat exchangers
Airflow options: throughflow, crossflow, counterflow, or mixed flow
Adjustable discharge rollers or screw conveyors
Optional integrated belt cooler
Smooth transition to downstream processes (pellet mill / packaging / mixer)
Wet material enters through the feed unit
Material forms a uniform layer on the belt
Belt moves slowly through drying zones
Heated air evaporates moisture
Exhaust air is filtered or scrubbed
Dried product exits at controlled moisture level
Once-through air system
Air recirculation for higher efficiency
Closed-loop drying for low emissions and solvent recovery
Hybrid systems combining recirculation and exhaust air treatment
Real-time monitoring (temperature, humidity, belt speed)
PLC automation with touch-screen control
Alarm and safety protection for over-temperature and dust hazard
Remote monitoring options
Evaporation: customized water evaporation per hour
Throughput varies by material bulk density and moisture
Belt width: customized(depend on customer material)
Belt length: customized(depend on customer material)
Single- or multi-deck configuration
Inlet moisture: 40–80%
Final moisture: 5–15% (customizable)
Heat recovery via exhaust air
Low-temperature drying options
High insulation and optimized air routing
Use of waste heat from biomass boilers or CHP systems
